    I got my Z10 maybe a week or two ago and I've noticed a few small errors with the build. First, there is a crack of light that shows between the seam where the screen meets the side of the phone. It's on the side where the USB port is. It is pretty small, but every time I tilt my phone, for instance - to stick my charger in, I can see the LCD light shining through the side of my phone. Also, on the black border that surrounds the screen, there is a dot that also lets the LCD light shine through. It is also small, but can be very distracting.

    I don't know if I am just being anal, but I worry that the small opening in the seam between the screen and the phone could let in dust or other particles over time.

    What do you think, do I need to swap it for a new one? Or is it too small a problem, that I should just let go?

    You paid for a new device, so you should exchange it if these stuff bothers you

    No, it is a small, bright, white light that shines through a small dot within the black border; especially visible when using an application with a bright background. It is on the lower, right hand side of the phone - close to the bottom of the phone.

    Hey, it is not like they don't have any Z10s laying around. ;-) Sad but true. You need to backup your phone Nd restore to the new phone. All passwords have to be entered again. If you put on a screen protector, that needs replacing. Just so you know what is involved.

    The proximity detector was flaky on my first Z10. The replacement has been great.

    Personally I wouldn't, but you shouldn't have to put up with something that bothers you i f you paid for it.

    I have the exact same light shining through near the USB port. Weird but I don't care because it's only noticeable in absolute darkness.
    But the light coming from the black screen border sounds really annoying, replace!

    Hey, better to make a customer happy than to just write down inventory.

    Now go buy a screen protector. I can say at this point Mime Ghost Glass is OK.

    I was in an AT&T store a few days ago to see if my Tmob phone is unlocked. (long story). The first thing the salesman notice is the tempered glass screen protector.

    Sounds like they tried to pass off a used one off on you. Or one with a replaced screen. Glad you returned it and got a new one.
