I currently have a Q10 and have 3 upgrades available on ATT. I've tried it on earlier OS's and the battery was horrid, have the newer OS's improved it somewhat?

Folks claim the newer OS's are easier on the battery while others don't see a clear improvement. And some folks don't have issues. But if you have had issues in the past, it may still be an issue for you. Some folks have gone with the Battery Bundle - spare battery or use it as a power bank
I'm a folk that has a Z10 and never had an issue with the battery.
I'm running the latest 3.0 and I'm getting excellent specs on the battery.
It's a great Device. Go for it!
Should you get a Z10 now? I say get yourself a Z30 because it is so much better :-) Battery on the Z30 is huge and most people say it fixes their battery probs.
I considered this but the Z30 is too big for my taste, and it's not available on ATT anyway.

I say go for it I got my Z10 early Feb with no battery issues...I followed the battery saving tips from the start because it seemed to be such a topic on the forums so perhaps that's why

You can pick up a new one off contract for under $200. I know I just did a couple weeks ago. I had a Q10 and really liked it, but I must say that the keyboard on the Z10 is awesome. I am faster on it than the Q10 and the screen on the Z10 is much better for apps. I am keeping my eye out for a good deal on a Z30 now. I can understand that the Z30 is too big for some so if that is the case get a Z10 and an extra battery.
Mine would actually be free through ATT which is why i'm considering it. I was going to buy one off ebay but I would rather go new.

I wouldn't pay $ for a Z10 at this time. I hated typing on glass so much I got a Q. (didn't need a pocket gamer)
Besides my personal distaste to touch screen typing, my #1 beef with the Z10 was battery. Always kept a charger in my car or truck, and had one @ work desk. Total shame BlackBerry crapped the bed in the design phase... that Z10 is begging for dock charge contacts.
Free is perfect price for a Z10 @ this time. (imho)

I was/am up to date on it, used until Dec'13. Now it is a desk unit, and not a daily driver.
The forums seem to be full of battery life complaints. When I was using it last fall, I was getting only a 1/2 day out of it if not plugged in, heavy use for email and calls.
It's a shame your carrier does not have the Z30.
