Hey soon i think im gonna buy the z10 but i heard that a cheaper full touch phone called jakarta is about to appear. O have just joined the community so i havent know any rummor about the jakarta phone. Would you recommend me buying the z10 or wait for jakarta? Ny budget on fits either one of them thanks
I say go for z10 since jakarta will be entry level and price should be as same as z10 which saw almost 60% discount

The most safe thing to do is to wait for the Jakarta, know it's specs, performance, shortcomings, read some reviews, and by then, decide what to purchase. Good things happen to those who wait, as they say :)

codenamed Jakarta is supposed to be a cheaper phone with cheaper material and so far unknown specs. I would go for the Zee10 it's a great phone and the price is not bad right now.

Jakarta has a keyboard and is a lower end device for developing markets. Get the Z10.

I have Stl100-1 and throughout all the updates it has never been slow or laggy...it was/has always been buttery smooth

My assumption is that it will use specs very similar to the Z10 if not a bit worse... so might as well get the Z10 then.. instead of waiting for a disappointment..

Since the Jakarta is supposed to be a super entry level device without LTE even, go with the Z10.

Z10 supports 4G, Jacarta supposed to be 3G.

Well my z10 in my country is stl100-1... No LTE either
Wait for jakarta, since it will likely have more improvement on battery life, which is bad on Z10.
There also common features you can't get on Z10, e.g. wifii direct, miracast, FM radio that you may need.
The latest phone always better than the old one :)
