The all new 4G LTE Moto G is an excellent contender. Very impressive for the money. Not sure if it is in the same class as the BB Z10 though. I will take a closer look!
They're both plastic devices and feel similar in the hand if that's what you mean by "same class". The G feels slightly more snug in the hand because of the curves but yea, build quality wise it's a draw.

Zenfone feels a little more premium because of its textured metal elements

I use tmobile on the $30 plan with 5gb of data and unlimited text only drawback is 100 minutes but I use Bbm to talk and line as well so it doesn't use up my minutes it's a great plan but you can use straight talk with the att service mvno you'll be fine btw the z10 is a great phone at the price

    Tmobile 10.2.2976
Care to elaborate what plan is this? T-Mobile? The cheapest data they had was 50$ for 1 gb

I agree with you on most points, but one only have to look through the bb10 forum to see all the quirks of a still new OS.

Buying a Z10 is like buying a iPhone 4s, both very capable able to run the latest os version, but still, dated hardware which won't be supported for as long as you want. Up to the OP to decide on value, but I think paying 200 for either a 4s or a z10 is silly. At least one can argue the 4s has a lovely design, bold 9900 class design. The z10 is a plasticky device that feels like a mid range device from the day it launched. At least the q10 felt more premium. If the z3 had a 720p screen for the price it's at, I'd be happy recommending that, but it dosent. And the z10 is just.too.old.
That's just ridiculous... the iPhone 4s doesn't compare to the Z10...

So did I and I found it more of a side grade than an upgrade, other than the larger screen. They both run smoothly, the 4s takes better pictures, has better app selection (native Facebook on BlackBerry is a joke for example). Battery life is about the same as well. Z10 has lte but I can't be bothered to pay the extra as H+ is plenty fast.

So what about the actual phone? Keyboard? Also I'd imagine a better camera on z10 than 4s. Sadly BlackBerry don't know how to do camera software

The iPhone was better for one thumb typing, the BlackBerry is better for two thumb typing. As a phone the iPhone was better. I never had to wait 2 seconds for my contact list to load for example, or a couple of seconds for a long sms thread to load.

One thumb typing = flicking. Two thumb typing = even faster. IPhone can't beat either on BB10.
