[CrackBerry Question]

I purchased a used Z10 in addition to my Q10. I'm going through the setup wizard. I setup my wifi and try to login with my BB user ID and password that works on my Q10 and on the BlackBerry World website, but it says that "anti-theft is on and sign in using the BlackBerry ID that was used to setup this device". Does that mean I have to have the person's ID that wiped the phone before they sold it to me? Do I have to have my Q10 SIM installed in my Z10 for me to finish the setup wizard? I just figured wifi would work. Thanks.

Short Answer: Yes.
Long Answer: Yeeees.
If BlackBerry Protect's anti-theft was on when the device was wiped, it'll require the BlackBerry ID that was logged into the device to be signed in to the phone and turn it off.

Nope. No matter how many times you reload the OS or do s factory reset, the device is until BlackBerry Protect's anti-theft which will REQUIRE you to log-in to the device using the BlackBerry ID that it was using when anti-theft was activated (AKA the last owner).
