So 2 days ago I was on 10.2.1 and everything was perfect. Now I'm on 10.3.1 official. Have never had a leak either. And the stupid sensors aren't working.


No wonder my advanced interactions don't work.
There is obviously an underlying issue with the software of the sensors.

Can anyone help please.

The sensors might be broken.
All you can do is try to reset your phone and perhaps reload an OS and test again.

I doubt it will "fix" anything.

So updating my phone broke my sensors? That's just dumb.

If the OS reload doesn't work, your sensors might be dead. Those same 2 sensors went out on my Z30.

For 12 dollars I was able to get a middleframe from Amazon.

Thanks to this thread I was able to get advice and got a link to a "how to" video of how to replace it. The middleframe houses all those sensors.

They probably are dead. It just seems strange that only after the update they stopped working. It has to be a software related issue.

It may have just been a coincidence. For me it was working one day and gone the next. And I tried all software approaches. From what I've been reading leading up to me repairing my phone it seems like these sensors are prone to failure.

But I really do hope it's software. If it's not, I checked the prices on Amazon and you're looking at 13-18 dollars.

Same issue with my BB STL-100-2, proximity & light sensor doesn't work after update 10.3.1.1565. I don't want to go to service because I need my phone and that is definitely software issue. (I have warrancy from 20.8.2014 to 20.8.2016, but I really need to use it everyday)

My sensors havnt been working for over a year, but noticed today that they were working again. Updated to 10.3 on 19th.

Only thing i did today was to empty the battery 100% and when i then charged to phone, it was suddenly working.

Software? Hardware? No idea

Many people got this issue. My proximity sensor not working after the update even though it is passing in the test. While calling the phone display doesn't switch off.

Same here. Z10 STL100-1, after the last update sensors dosen't work and BBVE shows that the two sensors are unavailable.
