1: Make sure this is not on

    Screen's not turning-img_00007178.png

2: could be a sensor issue

    Try this

    Settings
    Security and privacy
    Diagnostic
Send diagnostic and usage data to off

    Screen's not turning-img_00007179.png

    Then restart your phone

    Hope this helps

Yeah screen lock is off and I tried turning usage and date off too. My z10 is still not Turning. Could it be a hardware problem?

Free in Appworld - BB Virtual Expert. If has a variety of tests you can run on the hardware.

    Also

    Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

I used the apps to check my sensors but it would just say not supported on this phone

Have you restarted? If that does not work. Turn OFF the phone using the Power Button and select OFF. Then remove the battery for 2-5 minutes. Replace and see if it is working?

How old is the phone? Any new apps? What version of the OS (settings/About/OS)?

Then you probably still have a warranty? Contact carrier and troubleshoot. Good luck

Could be something corrupted in your software

    Backup your phone first!

    Do a security wipe.

Or use BlackBerry Link and reload the software on your phone

After you do the security wipe or software reload
You will be prompted to set-up your phone it's like the day you got it clean install

Before you restore your backup info see if the sensors are working .

If sensors are working then it was a software issue, if they don't work it's hardware issue .

Then restore the data back and see if issue has returned

If the issue is gone your good to go

If the sensor stop working after you restore your data back then it's been carried over from your backup .

You may have to repeat it and not do the restore

The apps are all tied to your BlackBerry world profile those you can download again

    Good luck

Ok so I tried reseting it to factory settings but still nothing and just to clarify most of my sensors don't work (I.e. Proximity sensor) . Even when I go into the compass it force closes saying I don't have the sensor . So if this is a hardware issue how do I fix it? I'm really hoping it's not because after I did research on the threads this seems to be a common problem

If it is a HARDWARE problem, then it needs to be dealt with via Warranty or some form of self-repair.

There was a major "outage" of the Sensors a while back due to a problem with the BB server but it was rectified later that day.
