    It looks like there is no way took the rotation in landscape mode since you can only activate it on the App screen which is already locked in portrait...

    bring down the settings menu from the top, turn the phone on the side you wish to lock it to, and turn the lock on.

    are you pressing the word, if you are, the settings bar will minimise and nothing happens, if you press the icon, it should turn blue. meaning it is on.

    Bare in mind only some apps use landscape, i.e. the browser and Hub. The homepage is portrait only.
