Had to send my phone in for repairs recently and got back what I thought was my original unit. Turns out it's not and I'm trying to get Link to restore my last backed up contacts list but it won't allow it to go to the new phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think I've figured it out. Had to run a back up of the new phone first, then run restore from old one.

I save my contacts to a cloud service (ie outlook.com/google) for this reason. it allows me to switch phones, or wipe, with minimal effort. there's an app (contact x) that will let you import/export locally as well.
