    But none of my Android side loads work?

    I thought you couldn't backup sideloads. Am I mistaken? I don't have Z10 yet but now use Blackberry Link for my Playbook.

    Restoring in general is a really bad idea on any OS. I learned that the hard way when I was on Android doing Nandroid backups. Though I can see the case being made about game progress and such issues if you reinstall the apps without backing up.

    You cannot back up side loads, correct.

    But restoring from a backup with sideloads...prevents you reinstalling those sideloads
