I notice when I perform a restore on my Z10 all of my sent messages disappear. Am I missing something? From what I remember legacy devices kept sent messages after restores and device transfers.

Not sure if it's a widespread problem, but there are numerous issues with restoring using BlackBerry Link. But you're correct, legacy OS also restored sent messages.

Are you restoring from back up or re installing the OS? There is a difference.
Restoring from backup after installing a new os.

On old BB OS you could search deleted messages folder and restore that way, not sure about the BB10 OS
