Here. Same problem. Just got it this evening. My phone acts weird. I thought it's just because my keyboard error so the backlight doesn't kick in. But then my proximity sensor error, too. And the compass app not working. BBVE said my sensors aren't supported for the sensor.

OS Release: 10.2.0.424
OS Version: 10.2.0.1791

I'm in Indonesia, using Telkomsel. What happens?

Nothing to do with doom or any game( as I don't have any of the mentioned) . Judging from the comments, one thing in common is10.2.0.429, I believe. Like someone said above, probably has something to do with carrier push and BlackBerry is aware. I called Bell and they patched me through to BlackBerry. BlackBerry said in order to escalate, I would have to reinstall OS through BlackBerry Link before they could take it any further... doing that now.

Having all users do this is a load of BS. They need to push something out. I believe some have already tried but problem persists.

At the very least they need to acknowledge the issue.

It is 100% because of the update Despicable me, or free gift Angry birds... those who dont have those two games,havent faced these kinds of problem!!!!!!

I don't have any of those games. The only android ports I have is just Skype. The other is native apps. And I still got this weird issues.

Weirdly I also had issues with screen orientation and I only found out when I tried to play Real Racing 3.

Using BBVE it showed the orientation sensor was not supported on this device.

A restart of my device fixed the problem.

I am on the newest 10.2.0.429.

EDIT: Looks like the orientation sensor is messed up again...

Downloaded Soduko 3 days ago. No other downloads. Locked in portrait and noticed face dials while using the phone yesterday. No android apps, legal OS, Z10.

Did a battery pull and everything restored to normal.

I have the sensor problem with no backlight for my keyboard (Q10) on 10.2.0.424. I downloaded SoundNine app as recommended by Crackberry today. I think I have had something similar happen previously but after a restart previously it was back to normal. BUT today the keyboard has not been with a backlight for a long time. The restart is only a temporary solution. Please as soon as there is a solution let me know???

My back light on my q10 keyboard will not light up half the time. Sure makes it a pain when trying to type in low light situations, also when I use the holster it doesn't turn my screen off. I thought there was a problem with my phone, hopefully it's a quick fix

What if, what if this actually started when BBM channel came live, cuz I'm pretty sure we all did that update. There isn't seem to be a common denominator. I don't really know how all of a sudden, tons of people are having the same issues all at the same time.

A wipe is fine if you're having the issues. If you're not and you wipe, you could have the problem as at later date. Best to wait for an official solution.

OK, I can't reproduce since I'm on 1055. Have you tried from your phone browser to follow this link and install the updated BB runtime for 10.2.0.xxx in BB World? Here is the link (will only work from your Handset and not desktop): - BlackBerry World


NB ONLY do this for 10.2.0.xxx, nothing else. It will mess up your system if you do it for 10.1 or 10.2.1.xxx

Has anybody tried this an see if it works? I'm on 1055 so I can't try this.

I'm not sure how long this will work. But I did go into settings and changed date time from auto update to manual and changed the date. Rebooted and it's back to auto. About an hour now with no issues. I'll post back to advise if it stays fixed or how long it lasted. Keeping fingers crossed.

Thus far it seems to affect official 10.2 carrier updates only.
