I purchased a Z10 used from a local classifieds site last march. This morning the Z10 will no longer power on, blackberry link doesn't see it, no lights etc. Since there is no warranty through my provider, is there a repair depot I can send the phone to have it repaired? I'm located in the GTA.

The authorized repair depot for BlackBerry in Ontario is Flextronics in Newmarket, but I don't know if they'll take your phone directly, that is to say without a ticket from the carrier, and if they do it'll be expensive. Your best bet is probably just to find one of those 'we fix all phone' places downtown if you intend to pay, but I'd try calling BlackBerry and seeing if they can verify warranty via serial number.

Could be a simple as the battery. Any store around there with a working demo? Maybe they'd let you pop in the battery quickly to test it.

Never thought it could be that because it won't power on plugged in with or without the battery... Good suggestion though I will try that first.

The local repair place tried a different battery and that wasn't it. I left it with them to see if I can get a quote on repair. Failing that I'm going to my carrier for an upgrade.
