Hi,

since a few days I'm a proud owner of a "new" refurbished z10, bought it for 200� at amazon.de.
It's really a great device and I'm loving it.
My question is, does it make sense for me to buy a new battery or not.
In standby mode my battery discharge about 1% per hour (with bedtime mode it's nearly the same). That means in standby mode battery life is about 100h or 4 days. I wonder if this is o.k. or if I could expect (much) more with a new battery, because at the specification for the Z10 BlackBerry is mentioning a standby-time up to 13 days. I have 4 email-accounts, synced every five minutes, no blue-tooth, no nfc, O.S. is 10.2.0.429.

I can honestly say that my Z10's battery can't last as long as I need it to. It's a really big problem, specially on long trips. Back on my 9900, I would always carry around a spare battery. It wasn't a bad thing, but the only downside to it was that I had to restart the device everytime I need to replace it.

My Z10's battery lasts slightly longer than my 9900's, but still not long enough for me to last eight hours on moderate use (Frequent Tweeting, chatting, listening to music). So my solution to this was to get a portable charger, rather than a replacement battery.

But be cautious. BlackBerry 10 devices stricly require a 750mA charger to charge the device. So if you're planning to get a portable charger, make sure to keep an eye on it.
