I have been trying to browse a specific website and whilst loading up the following screen pops up: could not start real read viewer applet. Can anyone help with this issue? Thanks.

Maybe if you tell us what site it was so we can troubleshoot...

    Www.nfpa.org/ catalog / services /onlinepreview/online_preview_document.asp?id=1313
I signed up and got membership status and in the process of viewing nfpa13 the site communicated the aforementioned.

This may be a better attempt to help resolve/ figure out the issue. Sorry but I only now learned how to do this.

Real Read viewer is a java app the site is using to load the content - Official RealRead, Inc Homepage - The Quick, Secure, and Cost-effective Software for Publishing Catalogs, Magazines, and Other Print Material Searchable on the Web - Online Internet eCatalog eBook Document Viewer

For whatever reason, the BB10 browser doesn't seem to be able to load it. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say their use of it is really old and why it's not working and they never accounted for mobile devices. Even my computer, which I don't run Java on screams at me to install it before I can view any of their content.

    A Java Applet?

Wow... These things were hot when I was learning HTML4 back in 1999!

Would never cross my mind, that's for sure.

Does this have to so with security or is it an outdated format for the modern age. I will certainly be glad to give them some feedback on that. It's nfpa's first attempt at allowing online access to fire protection codes.
