In the desktop mode how do I set a Web page to a column page in order to read it instead of swiping to the right then back to the left when reading a page. I tried to use the Reader but it says the page cannot be read with the Reader. Does anybody know what I should do? Please help, somebody.

if reader doesnt work for it then it may not be possible unless on mobile view or putting your phone sideways, if your on the main page of a website it may not work you have to click on a link say im on a newspaper website i have to click the link to a story and then you can view it in reader mode

Sometimes double tapping the article you want to read will expand it so that it mimics reader mode. As has been states, not all articles you click on can have reader mode enabled. You can also manually pinch to make it the size you want.
