    On the text messages it shows "D" for delivered, is there anyway to know if the message was actually read/opened?

    Text messages you just hope, bbm shows an R when the message is read.

    Text messages actually show a check mark that, far as I know, only indicates the message was sent. Not delivered. Perhaps you mean BBM?

    It depends on your carrier. The better ones allow you to have a delivery confirmation, the worse ones don't.

    I had a D on my 9900 and 9780 but never on my Q10. All Telus phones when sending texts. It was great knowing my messages were delivered or read but now I am just hoping it will be back in 10.2
