Just wanted to mention this is a must have. It charges much quicker and it has a 6 foot cable.

It is a great charger, I've got a few around here and they're nice in a pinch when I just need a bit more to make it to the bed stand...

Hey, here's a deal on a 2.1A one that's packaged with a tablet! BlackBerry Playbook Tablet 16GB - Black (Refurbished)

Jokes of course, if you wanted just the charger it should be pretty easy to find a PlayBook charger around like this for cheap : BlackBerry Playbook Folding Blade Micro-USB Charger - Black (PB charger puts out slightly more amps, +0.3A)

That's the PlayBook charger... It does work very well. I've started using it to charge my phone since I was on my bold 9780, my 9900 and now my Z10.

I ONLY use the 1.8Amp BlackBerry PlayBook charger on my Z10. Got one in the house and one in the job. One hour from dead and it's almost fully charged. Been going like this for the past three months.

If anyone is asking my battery life is around 8-10 hours. Battery health according to Battery Guru is 94% which is perfect.

    So no problems with it.

Any idea on the max amp that won't hurt the battery?

Max amps on the charger won't matter as the circuitry inside the z10 determines how much juice is pulled from the cable. I think that the max the z10 will pull is a little over 1A according to a battery monitor I was testing while charging one time.

Makes sense for the max charge rate to be limited but I'm not sure about your number. I have a 2.1A in the wall and a 2.0A one in the car and they charge MUCH faster than the BlackBerry 0.75A wall charger that came with the phone.
