So I've had my Z10 on VZ since early may and have only experienced I believe 3 random reboots before updating to the 10.1 that VZ kicked out Friday.

Well, I had recently woken up and picked up my phone. I noticed that the battery was only at 90% and was still plugged in and had been for over 8 hours. I opened the CB app and was just browsing the forums for a couple minutes then put the phone on the bed so I could get up. I grabbed it, unplugged it and swiped up...nothing. it was dead. About 20 seconds later it started to boot up.

Thought this was supposed to be a thing of the past.

According to some people reboots are cured. Not so for me for sure. An ATT 100-3 running 10.1.0.4633 spontaneously reboots about 3 times a week. Same since the day I bought the phone. Love the device but sure would like to see the reboot issue resolved.

Mine reboots at night 10.1.0.273 and the bedside mode digits fade out aswell before it reboots alarm still works but clock does not show,im trying a different battery this week see if that cures it.Also sometimes it wont charge over 99% even after 2hrs but if i do a battery pull it shows 100%.
I had a Torch 9800 from day one and had no problems with that in 36 months of use.Im at the moment using that as my alarm.
If it still reboots at night then ill do a factory reset and see if it still does, ill keep it like that if all is okay and wait till 10.2 update.

10.1.0.273 does NOT have the reboot problem fixed.

Any OS with a .2xxx last digit set (four digits, first one a "2") should, as should any of the .4xxx leaked MR candidates.

I have not had one unsolicited reset since I loaded 2009 a couple of months ago and I use my phone VERY heavily. I am currently running a self-made 4561 hybrid.

So i take it that its best to wait for 10.2 then.

No, any of the 10.1.0.2xxx series or 10.1.0.4xxx series should not have random reboot problems. If you are having them check your battery connections (e.g. make sure the terminals on the battery are clean, etc.) as the odds are pretty good it's not the firmware.

My count of "unsolicited" reboots since I installed a 10.1.0.2xxx firmware release (or anything with a higher number) is zero. Prior to that I was getting very close to being able to reproducing that problem on demand (and was working on exactly that in an effort to help BlackBerry isolate it.)
