No, it doesn't answer anything. Did you think you were making any sense when you just responded? If you have a view on whether Crackberry is entirely free of such people, then post a sensible response. Otherwise, find something more purposeful to do.

Easy, BBBHonest. While we all know CrackBerry is not free from trolls, we hope to ensure it stays a place where long time members like JasW(2009), and new members such as yourself (July 2013), are free to use a little humor now and then.

You are forgiven in advance for not recognizing said humor. Jas knows how to look at your profile and see your love for your Berry10 and knows you are not a troll (I think).

Sure there are trolls, like on any other dedicated mobile phone forum. But I'd rather say the fanboys here are a problem because they make discussions almost impossible by simply neglecting any problems at all.

FYI, I used to hang around at XDA developers until recently.

Nah, I'm still here. I've been accused of being a troll, a shill for Apple, a shill for Android, and on other boards a shill for BB. And based on what I've seen here of the "patch" Verizon turned loose for the Z that broke more than it fixed AND didn't fix the reboot issue, that won't change. I'm going to beat on BB/Verizon until they get it right and I won't buckle to the folks who think I'm in the pay of the ghost of Steve Jobs. Then, when it's FINALLY fixed I will buy one again - maybe the third Z10 will be the charm. Unless I completely run out of patience, then I will get the new OS7 BB, if it supports LTE.

Apparently its wrong to expect a functioning product for your $600.

Yes, I think this thread has strayed too far from its intended purpose to be worth continuing. I asked the question out of curiosity, not to engage in a battle of wits with anyone. I didn't have anybody in mind, either. I'm not convinced that one should choose to measure the worth of a person's comments by the length of their threads or the number of past posts on a website. That is my personal view, but, of course, opinions vary. Again, best to leave this thread alone I think.

It will never be free from trolls. Every place on the Internet has trolls. Go look at most YouTube comment section, proof that the Internet is a breeding ground for trolls. CB is definitely not the exception.

I wouldn't doubt Apple Samy Sung or Microsoft spend a little cash on bashing other brands on forums like these. There have been cases that companies pay people to review a competitors products badly. It wouldn't surprise me

Of course.

They make thread titles that make the Z10 and BlackBerry look bad. You will see the frequency of these threads increase on Friday evenings and other times when normal people are likely to come to CB forums for news and info.

If you don't believe me, this Friday look how many new threads have titles like "returning my Z10" and"Battery life is horrible" etc..

Added: and by the way they would post in this thread to create doubt and ridicule anyone who suggests paid trolling exists. NOT all posts of these kinds are, but it's somewhat likely a troll would do so..

That being said, of course trolls exist. Paid or otherwise, as long as open forums are here, they will continue to antagonize.
