[Question] 10.2.1 and Unlocked Runtimes: THINGS ARE BROKEN
Hi Guys!
I am still relatively new to the whole BlackBerry OS 10 and the concept of Sideloading. But for the sake of being able to use a sideloaded version of Viber, I looked around on the forums and managed to find a way of Sideloading an unlocked runtime and then sideloading an APK of an OLD Viber apk.
Needless to say, after banging my head against the wall, I was finally able to make it work...
However, I received a notification today that I had a BlackBerry OS update, so I jumped at the chance to do just that. Now my Z10 is running 10.2.1. But none of my old applications seem to work... at all! I assumed it was because they might incompatible now with "new" runtime, so I was browsing Crackberry and that I can simply just download the Amazon Appstore and install it on the new OS update. Well... I downloaded it, and it has been about 55 minutes and it's still stuck on PROCESSING screen.
My friend told me that it could be because I had loaded the unlocked runtime a while back. I was just wondering, when I did the OS update did that not already get rid of the sideloaded unlocked runtime?
Do I need to do a factory reset? Is there a way to revert the runtime to factory one that comes with 10.2.1? Now that you can install apks just as... I don't see the point in keeping the unlocked runtime, if that is what is causing the issue.
