    So I updated ASAP like u all and now after updating my wife's q10 when u go to wifi, it offers her wifi, wifi direct and miracast but not on my z10. What's that about please?

    Not supported by the hardware, that's been known for a while now.

    Q10 has wifi direct my z10 not after update-rojurhf.png

    is this what we get for buying the first devices which came out...

    when OS 11 or whatever hits, i will make it a point not to buy the first phones and will wait for the third or the fifth device.

    But we were told a long time ago that the Z10 was going to have at least Wi-Fi Direct. Why did they change their minds about that? My son's GS2 has it, and it's an older device.

    It's the Texas Instrument chips that are having the issues (FM radio included). The hardware may support it, but TI is DONE with the mobile market. There are phones out there with the same chipset and the features, but there firmware was written before TI flaked. I'm willing to bet that the PlayBook issues are a fall out of that to.

    And if you had waited to buy the Z30 would you complain about not having what's built into whatever comes next? How long have you been buying technology?
