Hello everybody, my z10' s proximity sensor is not working while I'm on call. I tried with BBVE and the test failed... Is my hardware gone or do you have any ideas? Tried rebooting, taking out battery but the problem remains...any thoughts are welcome, thank you!

Did you update to 10.3 OS lately?
The OS is known to kill Light and Proximity sensors on some devices, it did mine as well

Yes I did, I'm currently running 10.3.something, let's just hope then that 10.3.2 will address this issue! Thanks.

I experience that problem too. I tried loading the 10.3.2.840 but still the same. Then I found someone selling LCD with housing that comes with sensor. After the replacement, I checked in BBVE again, this time sensors are available. So I think it's an hardware issue.

Screen protector? I'm running 10.3.2.680 and it works fine. I have been on this OS for a week or so.

I have z10 stl100-3, software release 10.3.1.1865, and had this issue for months. Just yesterday I decided to backup, wipe and reload carrier OS, and now my sensors work again. WTF right?

At first I thought it was a hardware issue, but after wiping, it seemed like a software related issue. I'm guessing the issue varies for each device. Just happy my Z is back to its old self. Hope you find a solution to your sensor issue.

Common problem search the forum. It's a hardware fault. Mine was even sent to blackberry and they sent it back still broken. Was replaced in the end.
