Proper Z10 bumpers are rarer than the holy grail!

My Z10's bumper (made from TPU) is starting to crack at the corners, oh no!

Before you flame me for not using the search button, yes I am aware that there's already a thread about this on here, but it's from 2013, and I don't want to wake up a three-year old thread. Furthermore, Z10 bumpers were readily available back then.

I jumped on eBay, searching for "Z10 bumper blackberry". All the cases that this search returned seem to have a back. This means that they're not a bumper!

I want a backless TPU case or "bumper" but these things are next to impossible to find. I found some on eBay from China, but the pictures show signs of extremely poor build quality, and it would probably fail to protect my device if it's dropped. Not really suprising from China.

I also don't want those awful "two-tone"/"dual-color" bumpers or transparent bumpers, just a pure, clean, black bumper. Something that looks like the iPhone 4 bumper would be good.
I did like the Poetic Borderline bumpers, but they're no longer available anywhere, and the Walnutt bumpers just look horrific imo!

So I turn to the CrackBerry community as a last resort.
Does anybody in the UK have a black Poetic Borderline bumper for the Z10 which they don't want, as I'd like to buy one. Or does anybody know where I can get a good quality black bumper for the Z10? If it's overseas, then it must be available for shipping to the UK.

I bought a bumper case last year for my Z10 but it had a back. Unfortunately at this point you'll probably have to settle. Good luck.

I tried to look for a bumper last year and like you, couldn't find anything. There were a handful of bumpers by Poetic but in unappealing colors. I've just been using my transform case for the past 3 years.

I hear you. I have an extended battery on my Z10 and been looking for a bumper as well.

Someone here suggested 'Universal Bumper Case Protective Silicone Bracelet For Mobile Phone'.

I'm still on the fence if I'll get it.

I am a z10 owner and have carried my phone naked in pockets and bags with keys, coins and other objects. So my phone shows signs of wear. I am interested in this thread, by I need an explanation of the term, "bumper," which I've never heard before.

What part of the phone is the bumper?

Its a rubberized wrap around the corners of the phone.

I was always Happy with the original hardshell flip case for my Z10. I dropped it at least 10x between 3-6 feet high on concrete and tile it is extremely durable, I even throw my Z10 on the ground to show people with Cracked iPhones and Androids screens how durable a BlackBerry is.

Thanks. I guess there are some small falls where those could help, Honestly, I've been very happy with my buck naked Z10. After three and a half years of bumperless, caseless abuse, the only wear, besides almost invisible scratches in the glass, is some wear on the back next to the USB port. The build quality on this phone was simply fantastic.

I agree, the phone is just amazing - solid build quality and everyday performance.

Like every Z10 owner, trying to do the little things to keep and hold on to this device as long as I can!

My black hardshell flip case finally cracked after all these years. Still have the white and red ones but was tired of this case as the 4 corners kinda made it look odd. I then switched back to my original Incipio Feather Shine which has a brushed aluminum backing. That too is worn out so for kicks, I looked it up on eBay and to my surprise found some new for only $5 shipped. Seller was probably shocked he even sold one lol.

Don't like the manufacturer's logo? Stick some black electrical tape over it! But I like it, kinda looks cool.

It looks brilliant on my phone, I love how this looks. Shame it makes the buttons harder to press. I wonder if I can mitigate this by placing some card between the case and the button?

Yeah, I don't really like the look of the original back, so I installed a vinyl skin on it.

My original Z10 began to show severe signs of use after just three months. It was later replaced by BlackBerry due to an unrelated fault. Since then I haven't used it without screen protectors or bumper cases.
