    This is interesting...

I was prompted for an update to the device software to 10.0.9.422...nothing weird, right? However, when I look at my device info, it shows that I already have this installed. Its a 675 KB update, that says it "includes improvements to the BlackBerry 10 OS".

I'm on Verizon, I dont have any of the power drain issues that others anecdotally speak of, and I have occasional unprompted reboots (one a day, maybe?).

Any ideas on what may be going on?

It may be a small update to reinstall preloaded apps that you have removed.

If you remove an app that was pre installed on the device "Bloatware" when you reboot the update will reinstall the apps.

I get the same thing - Link always want to reload this version of s/w - 100.0.9.422 - which is already on the phone.

Link has another problem where it syncs music to SD card, but can only show music in the phone's memory.

Is there a new version of Link out?

Speaking of, updates for Facebook and Twitter on bb10, reading reviews on the updates they sound like crap updates. Is there a way to not accept them, meaning remove them from the "Updates Available" section in blackberry world?

With all due respect, Kris, that makes no sense. I dont want that taking up space on my device.

It seems that the apps that came with the phone will always re-download each time you do an update... I don't use box nor do I use at&t's family map or help apps. But all of them are reinstalled after each update... and I think that it might be true, that if you uninstall any app that came with the phone, it will always ask you for an update of your current version, just to reinstall those apps. I have the same problem...

Crap updates? They are definitely improvements! If you want to go with the stock apps with no updates you will loose functionality in those apps.

What I meant was the reviews they have gotten. Twitter just got a semi decent update.
But for Facebook, in BlackBerry World, reviews on it are saying ppl have lost functionality of the app from the previous one on the z10.

Never said I was against updates. I update usually when they're available!

Kris, on this same topic. I don't have LinkedIn nor Foursquare downloaded or use either. They came on the phone main screens when I got it. I have even removed them from my apps in blackberry world, deleted the icons off the screen, but it after a device reboot the icons reappear! Kinda annoying considering they shouldn't exist!?

    Verizon user here too.
Just checked for an update and got the message the Update Server is unavailable.
Either they are aware of an issue or maybe we will finally get the new update.

You can't delete pre loaded apps, they will come back in the form of a small OS update (2mb pr app). You can just create a folder for junk apps and put them in it.

    Thanks tdaye.
Helps actually. Would also explain mini 4mb updates after a reboot.
