Whenever I close my browser, Private Browsing is turned off and I have to turn it back on after launching the browser. Is anyone else experiencing this minor annoyance?

No, this is how it works.

That's the same way the private settings work on the desktop browsers like IE and Firefox too.

    Sorry!

Yeah actually that's exactly how it works.. what is the need to be private 24/7? I use my history folder almost as much as my bookmarks

Thanks so much for your reply! I never use this feature on my desktop but have Firefox configured to clear everything on close. I couldn't find a way to do that with the Z10 so thought I would give private browsing a try.

Thanks again for your reply, I really appreciate it!

I know your question has been answered already, but I thought this was a good question seeing how the PlayBook can have private browsing permanently on. It's pretty useful for people who are OCD about excessive cookies and history (like me) and only deactivate it to save passwords or frequently visited pages.

Hey guys is it only me or does your browser also won't allow you to go to .Org sites? Whenever I type in a site with a .Org at the end it just takes it straight as a download and saves it, even when using desktop mode, it never loads the sites. I have attached a pic to show you how it just saves the link instead of loading it

I had forgotten this! My father has a PlayBook and I set it up with private browsing on and it stays on. Plus private browsing also stays enabled on my iPad. Thanks for weighing in on this topic, I really appreciate it!

I feel the same way, annoyed. I would rather
manually turn off private browsing than to
constantly turn it on every time I am done with
Visiting financial and/or work sensitive sites.
