    Actually WhatsApp notifications does go into the hub... in the "Notification" section (the bell)

    Yes, it is possible. Clicking the notification goes right into the chat without having the app open, just like emails, BBM, texting, etc.

    This is the best feature of the hub... not having to open the app.

    Problem is that the Notification section isn't exclusive to Whatsapp; general OS or app updates or even connection to a wifi area appears there. There needs to be the green Whatsapp icon within the hub, like there is for Facebook, Twitter, BBM, SMS etc. Also, its a bit annoying that Whatsapp isn't integrated into BlackBerry contacts. One of the best things about previous BBs was that you could just go into your BB contacts and decide what modality of message you wished to send to that person. I hope they address this in future updates..
