So the last three or four days my phone dies between 10 and 20% left according to battery guru. At the top the battery is still yellow. According to battery guru my battery health fluctuates between 74-76%. Two weeks back my battery was still at 94%. I can't notice a real noticable change in the actual time it lasts. Which leads me to believe that my Battery Guru and indicator might be off. Or it might actually be right.

First off, has anyone else experienced such a rapid "loss" off battery health?

And secondly, is there a way to recalibrate my battery so that it shows red before it dies, because right now when it dies it seems as if I should still be able to use it for at least ten minutes.

First off, try a soft reset. It usually resets the software.

I never use those battery apps because they get you hyped up over nothing. But it happens. A reset will help. Try using it for a couple days only charging when the phone is about to die. When you charge it, charge all of the way until it hits 100%

I will try that. I always charge when about dead till it's full. I hate charging every now and then. I always heard it damages batteries. Not sure if the new batteries are also like that

It won't damage your battery it really doesn't matter if you do that. Li-on batteries only need you to set how much they charge to and how much they discharge to. That's why people always tell you to charge all the way up and discharge all of the way right when you get the battery.

Most likely a battery calibration issue. Have a look here: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...ns-but-832804/

Next time it does that take the battery out and leave out for an hour (it must be totally dead). Then place battery back in and connect to charger. Should work good after that. This happens to me after installing leaks and I then have to re calibrate.
