Hello All,

A few months ago, I saw this post regarding swapping DAC internals to a Q10 housing over here at CrackBerry

So I was wondering about the possibilty of swapping Z10 internals to a p'9982 housing? Any possiblity of doing such thing,atleast theoretically ?

Don't think so , the form factor is different. I think the internals aren't placed at exactly the same place and the motherboard will be different...

I don't think you can get the housing from any official source. I have seen replica p'9981 housing in China. You can found them on alibaba.com at your own risk. Hmm mm, for 9982, you may wait bit longer. The phone is new. They sells "leather back cover" too. lol

Am I the only one that thinks the P9982 looks like crap compared to the Z10? The P9981 was definitely better than the 9900, but the Z10 looks better than the 9900. "Porsche Design" needs to step it up, you can't just sell a P9981 with no keyboard and think it's something revolutionary. The individually machined stainless steel keys of the P9981 were one of the greatest things about it.

In my opinion, P'9981 was better in terms of its exclusivity, but the Bold 9900 looks much better, but that's just me.

the keys of the P9981 are not made of stainless, they're just out of plastic.

The phone models that may work looking at the internals are the stl100-2 -3 and possibly the -4, the stl100-1 has a different internal makeup

Yes, STL1 differs in most if not all aspects, for example, the SIM card tray, the SD card slot location and the battery orientation.
