I'm in the market for a Portable Smartphone Charger and I'm quite sure (and I've read) that they aren't all created equal. I was wondering if members of this community who have a bit more experience with these devices (and using them with a Z10) could share some of their findings and advice with me.

Not sure if this will help at all, but I've successfully used micro-USB chargers from BlackBerry and others, including car chargers, wall chargers, USB chargers, etc. with no issues. Occasionally you'll get a warning, but they still charge.

As far as portable battery chargers go, I've never used one, but I have friends who swear by them. BlackBerry's portable Z10 charger/battery bundle is the best of course, but even the 3rd party micro-USB chargers seem to work fine. I would think and hope that anything offered for sale on the CB Store would be high quality.

Besides the official battery + charger combo. I carry this in my work bag https://forums.crackberry.com/e?link...token=f_Kt8UnU and it's able to charge the blackberry z10. Make sure the charger is at least 2amps for quick charge.

I've been using this for a year now and it has worked perfect with all my BB devices:

Lumsing 11000mAh 5 x USB

It does not come with a special charger for itself, but can be charged with a normal microUSB charger - like your BlackBerry charger ..
Another feature that I have enjoyed, is the ability to charge several device at the same time, - no more out-of-juice situations

Thank you to you and all who responded for the advice. That Scosche charger looks pretty sharp! Is it good for one or two full charges on the Z10?

It should be good for 2 full charges. Almost 3 maybe... the battery is a 5000mAh battery. The bigger the capacity the more it should be able to charge before you need to recharge the battery pack. The z10 battery is only 1800mAh.
