I suggest you to change sync intervals to "manual" and select "use push if supported" option under email settings. Besides, decreasing backlight may help you get a better battery life.

If these do not work, try reloading your device software through BlackBerry Link.

Is your screen brightness turned up high? It could be an app draining the battery.

Also check if you are running the latest OS. And also see that you have some background apps draining your battery...
3-4 is way too less... Even if I use my phone continuously, it lasts for more than 5h for me!

depends on so many things like: your usage (apps, phone calls, emails, etc.), open apps, android apps, how many apps are on the device, OS, notification settings like vibrate uses battery.

i have latest leaked .1055 on my z10 and have less battery drain than previous leaked OS's

the latest leaked OS has device monitor which is full of info on what is using your battery.

i say go for it if you can understand how to load it

The Z10 battery is underpowered but turn off NFC and Bluetooth in the Network Connections if you don't need them on.

Another way of saving juice is switching to 2g, but it would suffer browsing capabilities.

Aside from the other suggestions posted, check also apps that sync, try to adjust the intervals. Aside from email, check also sync intervals for contacts and calendar if you use them in the first place.

Lastly. You might want to consider buying a higher capacity batt like what I did but thickness and heaviness you should expect.

Check out the 4500mah thread I'd interested.

    Good luck.

Do these steps and if you want install the latest 10.2.1 OS leak it will help your battery a lot after that. I'm getting 12 hours+ with moderate to heavy use after that. Also LTE kills the battery as well. Unless you require super fast download speeds for large files I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a spare battery/bundle you can plug in. As well apps that require too many permissions or super frequent sync times. Also note I run on 100% brightness.

What exactly are PM services? I notice they are listed in the engineering screen. The weird thing is I am on T-Mobile and the PIM goes to AT&T. Maybe I don't even use it. The engineering screen has data on lots of features I don't have, like EDVO on my GSM phone.

I've got blow torch level LTE at home (-61dBm RSSI) and around town, so maybe that is why I don't have a battery problem. I do carry the bundle.

LTE sites must really have strong RF. I hope the tin foil crowd doesn't find out.

guys let him say more about his new phone like OS version, model and apps installed on it.

And OP no company sells a poor battery it's we need to remember that one should charge it well once purchased from store. They will be arriving dead or with little amount of capacity left. I would suggest you to say more what applications are running on your device and it's version and model.
Are you able to get good 3G strength on your device??

I would suggest getting the an extended one but the fact that the Z10 can't get proper readings to show you the actual percentage might be a turn-off.

First of All, check your OS version. If it is 10.1.*** - you should (actually - MUST) update your OS. If your operator did not push ANYTHING above 10.1 - do it manually (there are few articles in CB, as well as bazillion forum posts how to do it - it's very easy!!!), and go STRAIGHT to 10.2.1.1055 leaked version!
This will dramatically improve your battery life.
I think it is recommended to NOT RESTORE, as all issues other having I think because they restored. Just set up your device from new.

then, disable NFC and Bluetooth if you are not using it. Set display to low settings. I have it like 25% or so - it is more than enough.
Set all: contacts, calendar, mail (generally - all accounts) SYNC interval to at least 24hours. or even manually. It DOES NOT AFFECT ability to receive mails etc.

Also, have in mind, that some apps are more power consuming the onthers (i.e. videos, SKYPE, etc.) skype, i.e. is ON, even you quit program. If you want to turn it off completely - you need to sign off (sign out).

Also, have in mind that weak cellular signal drains battery as well.

I am moderate/heavy user. I my phones lasts me full day effortlessly!

PIM Services is the layer that manage the Personal Information Management for accounts, contacts, calendar, emails, etc. It provides all the services needed by the BlackBerry Hub.

Less than a week now I'm getting poor battery performance, only 3-4hrs. My phone doesn't get hot and an app is show my battery health is 16% but when I just charged it, it was showing the health as 30%. My z10 is 2 months old, battery app shows 53 cycles and I'm on latest update. What's wrong here?

Also the engineering screen shows the battery level as -1.

Both blackberry device monitor and battery app shows the same percentage but different estimated duration (blackberry app monitor is correct)

Is that on the same battery? That near-instant charging time is indicative of a battery swap. And if that's not what I'm seeing, then you're most likely in the market for getting a replacement battery either from your carrier (if you purchased through them) or an online store.

You can try wiping and reloading the OS, or installing a leak (check the Leaked / Beta OS threads for more info), or go with a new battery. Hanging at 0% for more than a little bit is not normal, should minutes at best.
