This is how I KNOW my battery will never randomly be just about dead due to PIM Services draining it.

I couldn't focus on the STL100-3 (not point 3) as I said in the video.

it was what i used to use when I wanted my z30 to get an uninterrupted charge and i didn't feel like being tied down. I unplugged it this morning, it sat in my pocket for about 3 hours on wifi walking around the house, and the battery was down to 40 percent. I checked device monitor, and it was PIM services at 10 percent, with nothing else. I pulled the battery, and put it back in, and it was down to 34. I took the battery out, and decided I'd had enough.

You know my PIM services are always about 10 percent and I get about 18 hours around the house on Wi-fi.

You had me with the title I was all excited since my PIM services can be as high as 20 % sometimes and then I saw the video.

At least you got all of your frustration out.

This is not just a Z10 issue though. I have it from time to time on my Z30 as well.

A bit extreme but if it helps with frustration build-up, it is your phone to destroy.

Obviously, someone has money to burn as I'm sure, as noted in a reply above, there's a market for these devices. That is, unless the OP believes it abhorrent to saddle someone else with these ill-working devices.

If you open Device Monitor under Battery (or cpu tab) and scroll around, you'll see something labeled "pim services" and I believe that is what is being discussed. On occasion some users have found them eating the battery and cpu cycles. Obviously, the drove the OP over the edge and he/she hammered home their point!
