I have had this phone since launch, and I'm still confused how this phone save my pictures. I can never find the ones i just took. Any suggestions?

Go to pictures. Than the middle icon on the bottom of the screen (camera) are the ones you took.

It doesn't need to be confusing at all.

First, when you're still in the Camera app, you just tap the picture icon in the lower left corner of the Camera app. The most recently taken picture will appear. (You can also just drag the picture icon to the middle of the Camera app screen and the pic will appear momentarily as long as you hold your finger on the screen. When you lift your finger off the screen, the picture closes and you're back to the Camera app!).

If you aren't in the Camera app, then like the second poster mentioned, you can use the Pictures app. It takes you to a screen which displays all pictures "Recently Added" and "Recently Viewed". If you don't see your most recent photo there, just tap on the little camera icon at the bottom. This takes you to the camera folder on your SD card.

And keep in mind screenshots default to device memory, not the sdcard.
