Australian Uni Student on a budget here. Buying unlocked phone as upgrade from Torch 9800.
Given these devices with the following prices. Which would you pick?
I honestly cannot decide.

• Nokia Lumia 1320 in Orange for $308
• Nokia Lumia 625 in Green for $229
• Blackberry Z10 in White for $226
• Nokia Lumia 620 in Yellow for $189

Which would you pick?

Prices of the devices have gone down z10 on amazon is 189 and a z30 is 300 if you can afford a z30 I'd go for it as the battery life is much better this is coming from a z10 user

I'm in Australia sadly, and the cheapest I've found a z30 was $450.

I dont think WP8.1 is inferior, just different. I had a wp7 and loved the platform.
I'm interested in anything that isnt android.

none of them. Z10 is an inferior offering for bb10 at this point. There is nothing in the windows line that really is great for that price either. You are stuck in product cycles right now really but i guess if you had to choose from those 4 and not consider any android device the z10 would be my choice.

Can't give a suggestion because I've never used a WP. But I can tell you that the Z10 is a fantastic phone.

I've never used a Windows based phone and likely won't ever but as others have mentioned, the Z10 is an awesome phone and seems to just get better and better with every OS iteration.

I'd go with a Z10 any day of the week!

Would be helpful if the OP shared what features were important... all devices have strength and wealnesses... this is the determining factor in what is best for you... not random suggestion or popularity... if you posted this on a Nokia site.... what do you think they would suggest??

I'd hold out for a z30 if you don't need a new phone right away. Bought one for my dad and it runs circles around my z10.

My step brother has a Nokia lumia 820, and he really likes it. That being said after sticking it out with BlackBerry this long, I'd never move to windows phone due to lack of apps. Been there done that kind of.

The Z10 is good, but my battery life leaves something to be desired.

Primarily this. However, I would get a dumb phone for next to nothing and wait until I had the money for the phone I wanted, were I in that situation.

I agree with this. The Z10 was a great little phone but the battery wasn't sufficient. The Z30 is blazing fast, and apparently has come down in price after the recent passport and q20 classic announcements.

BlackBerry 10 os is nicer but the lumia has a better build quality. I've always wanted to try one, only thing that turns me away is windows 8 os.

I'd go with the 1320. The 1320 will EASILY get you through the day, as the Z10 will not, due to the very large battery. As long as you can deal with the screen not being 1080p on a 6" device (after all, it isn't their high end offering), then I'd say that is the best choice.
