I've seen posts about the speaker volume (which I agree could be louder like it was on my bold), but I find the actual earpiece volume (built into the phone) is too low even cranked up full. Unless I'm in a quiet place, I have trouble hearing. On my bold I almost never had the volume on full.
Others have posted that the volume seems lower on 10.1, which worries me because I'm still running Verizon's official release!

    Anyone else find this?

I agree the volume on bb10 overall could be high weather it be earpiece etc and was on other BlackBerrys.

Yes I agree with you. I have trouble hearing the phone with the volume turned up all the way also.

I'm on Verizon with Z10STL100-4/10.1.0.1756 and haven't noticed any issues

Maybe your ears are the problem.... just saying.

My volume doesn't really pop out at me as lacking, although I do tend to use my phone on speakerphone a lot more often... hmm.

Check the master volume setting under the main settings.

The 10.1 update made my volume noticeably louder. Now I have to turn it down.

I can make a phone call while working around noisy construction equipment with no problems (within reason of course)

I should stop doing that and keep my earplugs in.

All my volume settings are on max. I'm fine in a quiet office but I often do some work at a Starbucks or the like and can barely hear the callers. With my bold this was never an issue, so I'd love a way to crank out a bit more volume. (on long calls I switch to a bluetooth, so that solves it, but for quick calls I often just answer the phone.)

I too thought volume was low, just saw post above and did not realize there was a main volume control, much better

I have not noticed any problems with the volume on my Z10. Calls are loud and clear for me but everyone's hearing is different.

Same here...my volume, even at full is still somewhat low. Earphones are fine, but it's a waste of time to try to use the speaker for music.
