I haven't seen much talk on the phone dialer. Does anyone know if there is speed dial, like when you hold the 2 it dials a preset number and so on? Also, on my torch I was not able to mute the tones of dialing unless my profile was set to silent....has this changed where you can mute the dtmf tones...or whatever they are called?

Speed dial under BB10 is in the form of click photo to call. These contacts sit just above your dial pad. There is no way to silence the dial tones that I'm aware of.

I was looking for true speed dial too. Here's how it looks.

Speed dial sure looks a lot easier than having to go through photos!! And why is blackberry the only phone that you MUST hear the dtmf tones while dialing with no way to shut off.

I've gotten a little used to the photos although I'd welcome long press calls any day. Regarding the tones, I wonder if it's like the camera sound and is a warning that a fall is being places? Privacy thing perhaps?
