I got a new Z10 two weeks ago.

Since restoring my data via link backup, the battery went from a good 12 hours down to 5-6.

    What I did was:

Copy the device data folders through windows explorer onto my pc ( in win7 they appear as two mapped network drives, one being mem card and the other device data)

    Wipe device

Restore device data using same method via windows explorer ( dragged and dropped files from folder to folder i.e. camera folder files on PC to camera Folder on phone etc)

    Manually re downloaded apps

    Manually loaded Snap etc

    Manually applied my settings

The battery life for my Z10 has dramatically improved already!

Hope this helps for anyone having same issues!

***Please note you will need to connect the phone via link first and then close link after you see the two network drives appear in windows explorer***

I know it sucks how a restore can cause problems.

Oh well, glad it's sorted now!

Agree, but how about saying thank you to the OP, instead of just belly-aching?

I never would have thought of doing this! Labor intensive, but a good idea. Thank you for sharing.

    No problem!

    Defo worth a shot guys.

I know for a fact it's not the hardware as the phone was performing really well when I bought it brand new and installed the latest .1925 official os.

Since the restore via Link things went down hill.

I prefer this method as it's clean and it ain't difficult to drag and drop a few files.

    Give it a go people!

    Loving my Z10 again lol!

Glad it worked for you. Restoring can be a real issue. Nice to have an option if my battery drain suddenly goes south on me.

How dramatically did your battery improve? Are you back to 12 hours and is that with minimal or heavy usage? Just curious

Well guys just to give you an idea.

Since I have performed this method, I have been using my phone since the last charge on: CB10, BBM, whatsapp, playing music, Internet, text and calls.

All I can say I'm happy with it

With around 60% charge I have been using it heavily as mentioned above and I am looking at around 5-6 hours.

    So it has dramatically improved.

The restore via Link is what caused me problems.

I'm never using link back up/restore again, it's a fail lol!

Thanks for the info man! Great to know that you're battery's rocking good. With average use, mine can last for a day as well. I think battery is an issue on any OS/platform/model anyway.
