BlackBerry give us the best touch screen phone they've ever done by a mile and all we hear is moaning. Everything in the world that is good takes time, and is never perfect but it seems that patience, trust and support to is sadly lacking amongst posters on here. What galls me even more is that caveat that people attach to their posts such as: I'm a long time blackberry user; I used to love blackberry or I want blackberry to succeed etc etc. Well, all you want is to have a moan about blackberry, the company I love and that hurts me. If those people really meant those caveats they would be helping to improve bb10 by offering solutions to problems and being constructive in their criticism.

So in summing up, if you want to moan about bb10, do it somewhere else because you're getting right on my nerves. <rant mode off>

Agreed with the OP. And these people called themselves loyal BlackBerry fans.

In China, loyal BlackBerry fans help each other porting android apps. Why? Because there isn't any Chinese apps in BlackBerry World. We support each other a lot more than bickering about little usage issues. We are rocking our Z10. we feel proud taking out our Z10 in a sea of iphones and android users around us.

We have a massive base of all ready to use Chinese android bar files posted on China BlackBerry fan sites. Most of these android ports work really okay. Some are really good. Until native Chinese apps start storming into BlackBerry World, this is our best path. Please excuse us if you think we are a bunch of people who disrespect IP. But hey we did pay a premium to BlackBerry in buying our Z10.

No one said that, but you shouldn't expect perfection at this early stage in a platform's existence. People forget, but the first iPhone and the iPhone 3G weren't peaches by any means. They were slow and crashy, with bugs all over the place. The app selection was pathetic (once you could download apps at all, that is). You couldn't even set a wallpaper. AND it was just as expensive. A few software updates later, things got better.

Ditto Android. The first SEVERAL versions of Android were just awful. A few versions later, it got better. Granted, you can rarely upgrade an Android phone, but that's more a carrier issue. Do I even need to talk about the first version of Windows phone 7?

Z10/BB10 isn't perfect. It will get better over time, but for the first gen of a new platform, it's already much better than any of the others were.

And to this date its the one and only time i was 100% blown away by a phone, or any electronic deivce for that matter. because i had never experienced a phone like that. I dont recall the issues i had with it because memories tend to be better as time goes on. I think maybe i expected too much from bbry. But there is a big difference, apple had never made a phone before and bbry has been doing this for over a decade. Bbry also made specific promises which it has not delivered on. If i was so disloyal I could have sold my z10 for almost double the day i got it, but i decided to wait it out . With lack of apps. And the phone crashing and today bbm crashing it seems like deja vu.

And if you were on an iPhone you'd have had several iMessage outages over the past couple of months instead of BBM problems, your phone taking down your exchange server because of that lovely little flaw Apple only just fixed, etc, etc. There are always issues.

Yes, blackberry has been doing this a long time. But this is still a new OS. There will be problems. Apple has been making Mac OS longer than a decade, but every new version brings new problems, weirdness and flaws, despite their expertise in that area. Those get fixed over time too.

I'm not sure what promises you think BlackBerry made, but you seem like you're expecting nothing but sunshine and lolly pops. That's just not going to happen.

Can we just stop comparing BB10 to the first batch of IOS and Android? Seriously it's degradeful. I understand that this OS is new but still it shouldn't keep us (BB consumers) from having high exceptations. Us being too content with their previous offerings OS5-OS7 got RIM to where it's at! My point being, with new management paying much more attention to the needs of its public, we should embrace open criticism for BB10 to be successful.

It's funny that there's all this whining and crying about the Z10 crashing all the time, lack of apps, BlackBerry's short comings, and general hate of the device in these forums. My wife and I have had the device since February 5, when the phones finally came in, in our local carrier. Since then, I've restarted the device 4 times, some issues with Neutron and I wanted to see if it would help if I rebooted the device. Zero crashes, I have yet to see this device fail, except when using Android ports, then all that happens is the runtime window closes not affecting the performance of the device at all.
There was a learning curve, coming from a Torch 9860, but now it's all second nature and I wonder now, how I got along without the HUB before.
Everyone I show the device to, loves it and wishes they would have waited when they just bought their prior phone.
This device is a power house and I've proved it on various occasions with my Android buddies, pitting my Z10 against their Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2. I can do more with my phone, multi-tasking as easy as on a PC, but, of course, it comes down to apps.
This is the main cry that I read on these forums day in, day out and it gets redundant. There's only so many threads that one can make about Instagram, What's App, and NetFlix. I have What's App on my device, but she can't use it as it doesn't recognize the address book. I use NetFlix with PlayOn, I can watch the same movies and stream as fast if not faster than the Native Android app. My buddy with the Note 2 was it was amazing how clear it was; for some reason his Note 2 looks washed out color-wise, and it's brand new.
Every brand out there has their short-comings, BlackBerry too. But, this version 1 device has rocked the world and has made everyone aware that there are better alternatives to the aging, uninspired iPhone, and the unsecure, spastic Android OS. Where's Android going to be in terms of domination when Samsung finally decides to port their devices to WP8 and Tizen? What's going to happen when FireFox releases their Mobile OS? The Market share for both Android and iPhone are dropping and it's not just because of BlackBerry 10, it's because users are finally opening their eyes to how inadequate their Mobile OS's are. Apple is talking about a ground - up re-write of iOS (rumored), Android is trudging along with the same hashed and re-hashed aging OS with Key Lime Pie, how different is it going to be? I don't think it matters as the Android mentality is based on hardware specs, not the software that runs it.
QNX Neutrino RTOS is the Mobile OS of the future, trolls here see that, iPhone and Android sympathizer reviewers see that, and Google and Apple see it... what's the best way to debunk something as pure as BlackBerry 10, find any and all short-comings of the initial release of the OS and pass it around, build the hate, build the lie, build the misconception. The most informed buyer is the person that goes out for them selves and tries whatever they're buying. If I listened to those around me, assuring me of how great their devices are, I wouldn't be here right now... I'd be in Android Central, breeding the hate of this mysterious new Mobile OS or I'd be of at iMore, doing less and video droning to whatever Apple tells me what to buy and do.
It's time for a fresh look at all this, take a step back, breathe, and look at BlackBerry 10 again. BlackBerry Users Do More...

The guys that are openly bashing it must have very very high standards (these people will never be happy) to make a BlackBerry that works 100% for every customer is impossible as we all use them different.

I can see why the OP posted the topic my self as it seems the trolls don't really care if BlackBerry lives or dies they just want to kick a hornet nest lol.

Crackberry: where even die-hard users who've used the devices since Blackberry's inception are wrong if they are disgruntled that qualities that made Blackberries great are no longer present and are "trolls."
