I had the exact same problem. I received a sms that the funds have been deducted from my account but I still can't download the app. Anyone who can help on this please.

Well I am not sure but I ve had some problems earlier on playbook while trying to purchase an app, the problem however was solved once I started using PayPal instead of credit card. If the amount has been debited from u r card and you are not able to download, raise a complaint with BlackBerry world.

I've had the same problem but I can't get it to deduct funds. I switched credit cards and then it worked. But them it keeps going off and on.

crazysnoop and Z10Tastic, can you please indicate which app it was you were trying to purchase?
If "had the exact same problem" and "had the same problem" both refer to Battery Guru for BlackBerry 10, specifically, then clearly there's something wrong with how that app (which I wrote) is being handled on BlackBerry's servers, maybe for certain regions.
If you were dealing with other apps, then it's obviously a broader issue than just this one app.
The OP indicated to me (in email) that he's in Bahrain, on carrier Viva Bahrain, and running OS software release 10.0.10.82. (Note: that's the "software release" but not actually the OS version. The version info is found in Settings under the OS tab instead of the General tab. I think BB could figure things out using just the software release number but they've never really explained what that is so I'm not sure.)
I also asked him to reboot and try again, which is generally something that works with many other types of BB World download problem, but in this case it did nothing for him. Maybe you others could try that as well and report whether it helped.

Ali Javed indicated by email that after trying again (a third time) the transaction completed and the app installed successfully.
Also, this time a receipt email from BlackBerry World arrived, which hadn't happened the first two times.
I think the lesson is that if you don't get the official receipt email from BlackBerry World (see example below), you either did not actually get billed (and can try again later), or if you did get billed it's probably something you'll have to sort out with your bank or credit card company, because BlackBerry will have no record of the transaction (and didn't receive the money, I assume).
