    The last few days my phone will time out but will not password lock the screen???

    Check how long you've got the lock time set to. When I updated to 10.2 for some reason the phone switched my lock time from 1 minute to 30 minutes.

    I switched it back and now everything is back to normal.

    Settings -> Security and Password -> Device Password -> make sure the "Device Password" option is turned on.
