Hi guys. When I bought my Z10 from Verizon I also bought a Defender case for it and it was horrible because of the bezel on the bottom affecting the functions of the phone. I heard on one of these forum threads that Otter Box was re degsine the case? Does anyone know if it is true or not?

Certainty hope so. Have always had an Otterbox as one of my BlackBerry devices case but the Z10 was a let down. Hope they fix this oversight

I contacted OtterBox a few weeks ago. A customer service rep told me a new design was being worked on but there was no confirmed release date yet. And I should watch the web site or sign up for their updates.
I noticed a couple of days ago they have added Q10 cases. Hopefully the new Z10 version won't be too far behind.

I know what you mean I have always had an otter box until now I just couldn't stand dealing with it anymore, I have fat fingers and it was just to hard to use..

I'm waiting to see what they come up with. I used one on my 9650 and liked it. So far I've just been using the BB leather case and it's very good. But I know it's a matter of time before something happens and I drop or smack my Z10 against something.
My 9650 case has a crack on the back from a pretty good drop but the phone kept on working.

I switched from the OtterBox Defender to the Poetic Atmosphere after getting tired of the bezel height interfering with my virtual keyboard use.

I've had the Defender for a while now, the bezzles are something that you get used to. Aggravating at first, but you learn and adapt. I wouldn't mind if Otterbox made a thinner bezzled case though.

My only complaint about it is the screen protector gets a lot of dust under it. Other than that, no major issues

I cut the angled part off of mine so the entire bezel is showing I also removed the plastic screen

Very easy screen can be simply pushed out with very little pressure

I got the casemate tough case. Look nice, doesn't add much bulk, doesn't block the screen at all and has protected my phone from a few falls with no damage.

An update to my earlier post on an updated OtterBox case.

Back in May I was told there was an updated version in the works and to watch the website for an announcement.
Since I have not seen anything I emailed OtterBox customer service again yesterday and received an answer back a little while ago.

She said that to her knowledge a newer version is not coming out. That's it, with no additional explanation. And the current one is still available.

Thought I'd pass the info along for anyone else that was waiting.
