    Hi Brookie,

You are right buddy. I checked on both phones. One doesn't have the brass coats behind the back cover but the other has.

But the phone where I felt the plates to be missing does show two brass points on the chip but not on the back side of the cover.

    You know a lot !

Can you suggest me were to find a possible Branded blackberry Q5 non-removable battery from.

We in our country have a few online stores. Amazon doesn't have much options and the battery product doesn't display a Blackberry logo on the product image details as it may be a third party Battery pack.

If I am not able to find a BB original battery, is it still okay to connect a non-branded BB Q5 compatible Battery.

Not sure if you are able to order from here, but it is a good source: https://www.etradesupply.com/blackbe...kberry-q5.html

And yes, you can use a non-branded or non-OEM battery. You will just have to search online for a battery where you can order from. They are cheap so not a big deal if something goes wrong. I have bought cheap Z10 batteries (not labelled BB) and they are fine......don't worry about them not having a BB label on them.

Okay, have ordered one locally. Will test it.

Can you also tell me whether Google maps work on BB10 handsets.

    Sure.

But you have to patch it and install the entire Cobalt stack if you want to sign in.

I am not familiar with Cobalt (stack). Is it a developed or development framework.

And how large is the Cobalt Stack to install ?

Cobalt's file share (download to PC and move files over to device):

    https://mega.nz/#F!lIUWjSSQ!yoLoiNX3PNG3Sef1Fa_fMA

    Install and login with 4.3.3.

    Install and register with 2.8.

    Install Play Store v6 build2.

***Stop here if all you want is Play Store

    Install Play Services v11.

Install 4.4.4 (but don't open after)

Install Play Games v5 (if desired).

    Install whitelist 1.0.0.6.

***If an app requires Google Play Services, then:

Download app with Cobalt's Play Store (but don't install).
    Whitelist unpatched app.
Patch app on PC with Play Services Patcher 1.6 using defaults settings.

    Install patched app.

It will take some time to try this. But these files seem small sized installers.

    Hi Conite / Brookie

I thank you for helping me making my mobile work again.
I installed a non-branded battery and the mobile is working without any issues.

The 10.3.3 is working smoothly on Q5.

Installing the Cobalt share may not slower the cell phone ?

It should not but be AWARE that the more android apps you put on your Q5, the slower and flakier your device will run.

Hello guys, i have a STL100-1 device. I tried to load 10.3.03.2205 and it worked but the phone is stuck in the setup menu, it also happened with 10.3.02.2876 which i loaded after. I tried to downgrade with the following versions 10.3.01.1154, 10.2.02.1609, 10.1.00.4828 and all of them fail to load, it says "This OS version is blocked from device". I didn´t stop trying and found this version 10.3.01.0997 which works but it´s incomplete and lacks of a lot of features, i really need help and i'll thank everyone in advance.

It's been posted multiple times, so don't know how you missed it unless you didn't bother searching.

You cannot install 10.3.3.x on a STL100-1. Guaranteed to fail.

10.3.1.997 is a Developer version, which is missing multiple apps and services. Again, there are multiple warnings about that.

You want to install the last 10.3.2.x version, which is 10.3.2.2813.

    EDIT: Looks like you double-posted.
