Did update via Vodafone..instead of waiting for o2...flawless!

BlackBerry is certainly not standing still. I just found out (accidentally) that the next iteration of BB10 for the Z10 is already in beta. Unfortunately, it is an internal beta only. Still, this indicates BlackBerry is being very responsive to consumer input and we should be seeing another iteration of BB10 fairly soon.

Hey guys, I'm in Toronto on Bell's network and one of my friends has gotten the new 10.0.10 update on his phone. I have restarted my phone many times and still every time I check for updates it says I still have the newest version. I'm just wondering is anyone else having this problem or has bell not released the update yet. I'm also wondering since my friend works at bell maybe he gets updates earlier or something but that seems bazar.

Bell hasn't released it yet, as far as I know. Only Rogers/Fido/Sprint I think...

Yes, it has happened to most people. It's a carrier thing. Also, sizes have largely varied. My first update was 142mb and the second was like 790mb while others got updates in the single digits. It just depends what software version was on your phone, what carrier you're with, etc.

if you have words that u use a bunch you can create a rule to help shorten the word or phrase....for example our dogs name is Bella and my torch would mess it up and type bells when i typed it. So when i hit "b" and then the space key it types- Bella.
or my personal favorite, im in the mortgae business and i send people to my website to fill out a mortage app. So when they call in i tell them i will txt them the web address and instuructions. SO, when i type "www" and then the space bar. My phone types----"www.DonnieEden.com click on apply online. Then click on express form and fill out info there. no need to fill in liabilities/debts as I will get that on the credit report thanks!" Talk about saving some keystrokes.

It is little things like this that make BB my favorite 4EVER.

I just finished my fourth 10.0.10.85 update since Friday. Funny thing is I still can't send SMTP emails. But it does seem that the BBM /wifi issue Is gone

This update has been making my phone do weird things, like screen not coming on when a incoming call is ringing the odd time, phone turning off on its on, and sometimes not wanting to wake up..

second most important update of all: volume rockers now disabled when locked!

This is so cool. When taking out from the holster, I always change by volume settings unintentionally. I am glad this is fixed.

Not working yet for me. Has anyone been able to get custom message tones for their contacts to work in email? My device doesn't seem to recognize my contacts and thus won't use the custom tones. It also doesn't show the custom names I have for contacts in any email inbox, but it does for SMS and phone (though only custom ringtones work, not custom SMS tones). Perhaps a fix is in the works, but I am curious if anyone else is seeing this behavior.
