Hi, I;m lost, my car dealer says this can be done with BB also.
Does anybody know how to connect this to the Z 10 ?
It is an app. that has really cool possibilities but I can't get to it.

Well you must have the power of ESP!! I JUST WROTE to Onstar to compalin about the fact that I pay so much for this service and there is no BB10 compatible app!!!!
The dealer is lying to you and to me. I just picked up a new car on Friday and they say OHHHHHHH Onstar has an app.
Bull poopies they do. For the 9930 is the latest. So I wrote to Onstar to complain. I suggest you do the same. We can afford nice new expensive cars and load em up with all those Onstar charges, but they can't make us an app.
I am so over the whole thing.
Go to Onstar/choose contact us and fire away!!!!!!

An Onstar rep told me on the phone that there was a 'Knock off' somewhere , but I wouldn't know where to start looking or how to use it. (unfortunately I'm a bit of a Dummy at IT related stuff).

There is an Onstar remote app for Android. If you go into the Android sideloading forums, I'm sure there are some ppl that can help convert the app for you to use on your BB10.

I got a nice thank you for your inquiry e-mail response from Onstar a couple of hours after sending my nasty message to them yesterday. They say they will reply to me shortly. Let's hope for the best.! (cause I'm a little weary of side loading stuf).

Well this sideloaded didn't work for me. So try if you want but I don't think it works. I don't have 10.1 yet.

At this time, the RemoteLink app is only available for the BlackBerry Bold 9900, & 9930. This devices were chosen because they are the most popular with OnStar subscribers. We are looking into adding compatibility for the BlackBerry Torch 9810, 9050, and 9860, however we do not have any news at this time.

As far as I know an On Star app was being built for BB10 phones. I can't remember where I saw that but I remember it because I have On Star in my Malibu.

I will send an inquiry this weekend.

Onstar replied that they don't serve Canada because of language and legal issues ! B.S. squared !
I know people in my area who have used it regularily for a long time (GM dealer sales rep among others) but with an Android device.
My suggestion to them was to review their .ca site and that maybe the BB community would be glad to help them develop the app. for BB-10 in order to better serve their
loyal customers (who keep them in business).

So 'Onstar's' latest reply from Ebon (OnStar InformationSpecialist) is that they have made Remote Link avaible for Android 1, IPhone 2, Ipad Touch and BB Bold 9900 and 9930 phones.

AND at this time there is no plan in the future to make the app work for any other devices !

What a Bummer ! Guess sombody with more knowhow than me is going to have to P_r_te a useful app somewhere and spread it around to the un-popular other BB phones (according to OnStar).

I still need help !

I side loaded the OnStar Android app onto my Z10 and it works perfectly with my 2012 Silverado.

It might be be possible to sideload an android version. Have ypu looked into that?

I have 10.0.9.422
So that's probably why it doesn't work for me. I will upgrade and see if it works.
