Did you know if delete some of the native apps and your one of those as am I that checks daily for an update. It will say there is an update for 10.09.422 but all that is for is the nature apps you deleted. IE: My Verizon an their Contacts Backup App.

Yeah, I did, but had issues with receiving sms messages. I could send to the correct person, but any messages I received would be from random contacts. Example, texted my neighbor "Why are you mowing at 8PM?", response from my mother, "Mind your own business!"
It is not fun being back at 10.0.9 when I was at 10.1 for a day.

My Verizon Contacts Backup finally was able to update last night. Still don't have software update despite receiving the notification from VZW that it was available. Last time I checked for the software update I got "The update server is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

I know this may sound crazy, but since download this small update at 10:30AM this morning, my battery drain has only dropped from 85% to 80%. 5% loss in almost 6 hours is a HUGE improvement over what I was previously experiencing.

I did get a BB App World update last night that installed, and noticed my phone rebooted just before 9AM - a good hour and a half before I got my 'update' notification. Weird stuff.

Interesting... I noticed my phone restarted roughly the same time as yours did, and before the notification of the update. I wonder if something pushed down the system cause the reboot?

Lol placebo effect? I'm jk, but in my case I haven't really seen any change in battery life.

By any chance, are you connected to an Exchange Server ?
This small update appear to have fixed an issue when connected to My exchange 2003 Server ( lots of data transfer, and huge batterydrain )

Had the same problem with other updates, but once you clear your text messages the problem wont arise again.

I think this whole "your due for a free software update" is a mistake by BB and not by Verizon. Nothing in the notification says Verizon. In fact it says "This is a service message sent by or on behalf of BlackBerry".

Picture this. {Scene: Waterloo} Hey George we should probably remind all our customers running outdated OS versions that there is a new version of BB10. Because everyone should definitely be upgraded by now.

And all this small update stuff is either people getting back deleted apps or getting the new version of VZW Contacts Backup.

Though I'm still holding out hope, that they just haven't quite pulled the trigger on releasing the software.

I got the 3 meg update and lost the ability to tap the white bar to ignore incoming calls

UPDATE: My mistake - the white bar tap only works in Normal sound mode. It doesn't work in Vibrate or Silent mode. It is working normally.

Another glitch the update seems to have fixed is calendar colors. They used to randomly shift back to colors other than the ones I selected. It has been a few hours since I set my colors, and they seem to be sticking. Woo-hoo!

at 11am this morning I get a notification in the Hub that an update is available for my phone. I almost did a back flip because I was waiting for the update with the 60 different battery saving upgrades. Because I love my phone but I can honestly say right now the battery freaking sucks, and the battery life seems inconsistent at times. From that moment until now at 6:49pm everytime I hit the update button I get a message that I have the latest software. The phone never attempted an update. Why are other people having updates but not my phone ??!! WTH?!?
