No - it will not solve the spontaneous reboot issue. And I only know this because my BB Support Technician just emailed me last night with an update that they've isolated the problem and expect to have it fixed "very soon."

I think someone at Verizon fatfingered the 'send notification to all Z10 users' prematurely

I just jumped into the Z10 a couple of weeks ago and already had 10.0.9.422.

Did earlier Z10's have a different OS and this is just updating the older versions to 10.0.9.422???

That's funny because my BB support technician told me days ago, that VZW already has the fix and they are just waiting on VZW to finish testing and release. So I'm hoping this update does have the fix. Maybe by "very soon" your rep meant today.

Assuming of course this isn't a phantom update, because I got the notification but it still says I'm current.

No, I think most, if not all, were already on 10.0.9.422. We're waiting for some sort of "official" report as to what this update really was.

Verizon can kiss the fattest part of my @ss. I'm tired of this BS. Stop jerking us around.

It's almost like Verizon is trying to frustrate BlackBerry users.

The same 10.0.9.422 as everyone else. Thing is I'm nearly 48 hours into my third phone without any hangs or reboots and I'm reluctant to change anything now.

Via BB world, I did get an update to VZW Contacts Backup and to BB world itself last night. Maybe that was in prep for this? One can only hope.

Anyone else getting this? I wonder if the servers can only handle a fixed number of big updates at one time.

That's a very good point! Well - here's to hoping!! I'm sure we'll know shortly, as my Z10 reboots have gotten insane the past few days.

My update was only 19mb. I updated and it replaced all the original native apps that I had removed. Don't know if anything g good actually came of it this small.

Haha yes, I just got to work and pulled out the Z10 and saw that I had an update available as well. I didn't actually think it was VZW though, as I just last night finally found the spare time to put the 10.1.0.1429 hybrid on my device (which is running just fine, btw).

Sounds like I didn't miss much. I think Verizon's going to be like a flashback to me and my long history with Sprint... never running my own carrier's official releases. :/
