Little typo there?
Never, but Never, Question the Engineers Judgment!
10.2.0 ?? Where? I have Q10 and still have 10.1. Where is official 10.2?

It is 10.1 still. That was a typo up above.

Just use Sachesi and load the Rogers 10.2.0.xxx. It's easier than installing the leak for 10.2.1 and works great on VZW. I read that the latest leak works well too. If you wait for VZW to release the next OS you'll be waiting and waiting.....

Yeah, download from Sachesi...you won't regret it. Very easy process... I couldn't holdout for Verizon to update to 10.2 sometime in 2014. The rest of the globe will be on 10.3 by the time VZW updates officially...lol
Via my awesome Z10!
I thought the same thing when they first got the Q10...

I want to install a leak, but I really need the stability for work, I can't have it crashing, locking up, and have features going poof. Is the Rogers one stable? Or will the official Vzw 10.2 be a better release when it does come out? I really do wonder what Verizon is doing over there that is taking so long!
You don't need to install a leak. Get s' stable and official OS of sachesi from the Canadian carrier of your choice.

QUESTION: Ive got Rogers 10.2.0.1803 installing on my Verizon z10 right now. Once its complete, do I need to do a security wipe or should it just be good to go?
No need to wipe...just organize.

Well I'm on the Rogers 10.2 now thanks to sachesi. Thankfully my upgrade has been flawless so far. The phone did run a bit sluggish for about the first 30 minutes but since then it's been fast. I haven't had a single glitch or bug otherwise. The only problem now....im considering going the distance and loading the 10.2.1 leak. If I knew it would be as flawless as what I did today I'd be all over it! I guess that's the issue though isn't it.

Congrats! The leak requires you use an autoloader. You'll need to wipe, but advice in the threads say NOT to reload....you start from scratch. I'd do it if I had the time. What you've got now is absolute improvement over 10.1....

Ugh, do I need to figure out this Sachesi thing so that I can get 10.2 on my Verizon phone. I feel like I've waited long enough and the update is supposed to be pretty good.
Actually, it depends. Sachesi only helps load officially released OS's. So for one of the OS 10.2.0....... it can be used. But if you want the newer LEAKS, then you need an Autoloader file (found in the Leak subforum). It is not that hard either way although the Leaks with autoloader are easier. Sachesi is nice because it can over-write your OS but leave your data intact. The autoloaders erase everything on the phone.
Does anybody know where I can find step by step instructions on how to do the Sachesi upgrade for a Verizon z10 to 10.2 using a Windows 8 computer? Everything I've read says, "just search", but the pieces of info I've found have left me with map to nowhere. There's no upgrade option on the mode, now Sachesi just gives me the the spinning wheel searching for a us connection and I'm stuck.
I love my BlackBerry but if it is this hard to get anything done on it, there's no wonder we struggle to get traction in the US.

I am using 10.2.0.1809 on my Verizon Z10 that is my "daily driver". I have a more recent leak installed on my "experimental" Z10.
In general, people that run leaks do not do an "upgrade" install. Typically they will install the OS using an "autoloader" which wipes everything, and then they re-configure everything from scratch.
I don't think that's practical for most people and this is why I don't think installing a leak is advisable for people who are not very comfortable with computers and smartphones.
There is a way to do an "upgrade" install, but it is much more complicated and most leaked OS versions do not have publicly available install files that can be used in that way. (the version I am running does)
You can also do a backup beforehand and restore after installing the new OS, but many "leak purists" frown on that. This is what I typically do on my "daily driver" but I put a lot of safeguards in place in case something goes awry.
Sachesi requires USB drivers to communicate with the device which come with the BlackBerry "Link" software utility. If you don't have that already installed on the PC, Sachesi will not work.
As far as "getting traction in the US" - blame Verizon in this case. Nothing would have prevented them from releasing a newer OS for your device, they simply chose not to bother and BlackBerry cannot force them to.

Rock and roll, got mine in frigid Philadelphia.
None of the posts are stating which carrier they are using.
I do get the title, was curious if any carriers besides VZW
received the update. Also know it has been pulled.
Verizon here
That's because the title of this thread is:
"Official: Verizon 10.2 Update Thread"
