And for what it's worth, Verizon has rescinded the update for now.

Probably a mistake and they will probably re-release a slightly newer build, is my guess.

I get the drift, be nice, I'm almost 68. The original query was meant was anyone
besides VZW users getting the update. Phased it wrong, maybe I should delete the damn post.

Actually even the Verizon release was a mistake. The OS is no longer downloadable from them.

Official rollout date is 1/28 (1/29 in places like Australia and New Zealand), so while some carriers will definitely delay until after that date, there are no official releases of 10.2.1 until 1/28.

This release is (IMHO) buggy anyway, so I'm hoping what Verizon releases officially is a bit newer build, when they finally do release it.

That's because the update was pulled. I am going to re-post my FAQ on this here in a minute.

FAQ - perhaps someone can put this in the OP or something, answering this all over the boards here now:

    1. Verizon pulled the update. IT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
    2. The update was ONLY for the Z10. People with Q10s and Z30s, you can click "Check for Software Updates" until the cows come home, it was never released for your device.
    3. "Software Release" version 10.2.1.537 IS THE SAME as OS version 10.2.1.1925. "Software Release" refers to the bundle of OS, Radio code, and add-on apps. It is carrier-specific.
    4. This (mistaken) release IS THE SAME IN EVERY WAY AS THE LAST LEAK. Those of you already running version 10.2.1.1925, there is NO BENEFIT to downloading this.
    5. Verizon will probably either re-release this build later, or (more likely) something slightly newer. Official (earliest) rollout date for OS 10.2.1 is 2013-01-28.
    6. If you really, really, really, really think you need this OS for some reason and you don't feel like loading a leak with an autoloader, and you want to do an UPGRADE IN PLACE installation, you can go to THIS thread to get the files, but it takes special tools and techniques to make that work. If you just want an automatic over-the-air install, you will have to wait.
    7. If you are already running 10.2.1.1925 and you see an update notification for 10.21.537 - particularly if it says "Applications update" - this is the SAME version you have, it is the "Software Release" number being presented. (See item #3 in this list) All you will accomplish by accepting that update is adding-back any Verizon-specific apps that you removed, and replacement of any unauthorized apps you added. I managed to get it and am extremely happy so far. Toast notifications are working nicely and after side-loading SNAP I've installed my first Android App (Pandora) OTA. Happy Z10 owner here.

I downloaded it from yesterday. Everything went fine OTA, I loved all the new stuff. BUT, my contact sound notifications are not working properly as it was last year with the original OS. I also cannot access the carrier wallpaper. The folder is there but locked.

Ad of 1/29/14, my notification problem was steming from BBM. After I reinvented the contacts for it, it is now working as it should.
    Still cannot access carriers wallpapers.

Interesting article, claims to have release dates: BlackBerry OS 10.2.1 update goes official, available now - GSMArena.com news

"According to a leaked USA roadmap, Verizon's Z10 will get the update on January 28, Q10 - on February 4, the Z30 - on February 10. The same roadmap claims AT&T's Z10 and Q10 will receive the new firmware on February 10, while T-Mobile's Z10 and Q10 will get the notification in mid-February. Sprint's Q10 will be the last one to join the fun - at the end of February."

Ya I did last night after running the 1899 for over a month. I'm going to see how it goes and report back. I didn't really have any issues on the 1899 but I had 3G a little more than I used to versus 4G LTE.

Verizon pushed it out to me yesterday. I am in Philadelphia. Update took less than an hour. I love my Z10 even more now. So far, 10.2 seems to have been worth the wait.

I received the over the air last week, and the other day (after the ota push) BlackBerry Link also wanted me to upgrade. Weird. So far so good with 1926

I just noticed I can't open facebook notifications from the hub. I wonder if that's what is causing the system to cycle through draining the battery
