It's a promotion. Great news for BlackBerry! The more people get this thing, the better, and if you read the terms, it's clear that BlackBerry is still getting the full wholesale price.

This BB10 thing is just hitting its stride. The market will look much different a year from now as word gets out.

I wouldn't get to up in arms about this. Att has the Note, S4 and Z10 for 100.00 with a two year contract. Most people are already on contracts and won't break them for new phones which means they aren't selling. To clear inventory sellers will do what's needed to make profits. Not to mention even on amazon a two year contract is need so the cost of the phone will be made up and then some. Carriers won't profit as much this way but nonetheless they still profit.

TMo has dropped all new two year contracts. When current contracts expire, it's all month to month. No two year contracts are available. A big plus for Blackberry.

Why sad? First everyone complains they are crazy for charging a normal new smartphone price, now.. people complain that the price is too low. The more BB10 users the better for the platform, the better the platform, the more utility I can squeeze out of the device I bought over two months ago, for $599 (so.. ~$10/day since then for hundreds of hours of use and enjoyment).

I see no reason to be sad...

This makes me laugh as well. It is a promotion. So many people think that when a carrier sells a phone for $0 that they pay BBRY $0 for the phone. Hilarious.
