Having an issue with volume buttons on the side of the z10. Normally those buttons control the volume of notifications volume unless you have ear phones in the jack it controls media volume. However lately once I remove it doesn't go back to controlling notification volume, it's stays on media volume?

Check your Settings, Main Volume, Always Adjust Media Volume. It should be Off to adjust notifications volume when media isn't playing.

It is off, the volume keys can control notification volume eg, ringer volume and text volume etc... but when I do plug in my headphones and then unplug them it doesn't switch back to notification volume just stays on media volume

I believe it will stay on media volume as long as there us any app open that is using the media sound output. For example if you are playing music and simply pull out the headphone, the music app still has the media player device open. Even if you put it into an active frame. The side keys will only revert to adjusting notification volume once all sound-output apps are closed...

This is correct, just switched the option to off and now I can adjust my notification volume via the volume keys.

Sounds output apps? Explain? And I know about the switch in the options but it still doesn't switch back, have to restart
